One of New Jersey's highest-regarded prospects will be on campus today. Even in a deeply talented New Jersey WR class, Ahmir Mitchell stands a cut above. Mitchell is 6'2" 290 lb. athlete from Egg Harbor CIty, NJ. Rivals rates him a 4-star prospect, and lists him among the top 50 players in the country.

Mitchell recently released a top 8 including Rutgers, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. Notably absent is Arkansas, where Ahmir's talented big brother Damon plays receiver after being recruited as a QB. Recent Rutgers transfer Kaiwan Lewis is Mitchell's cousin, adding another connection the home state school.
Mitchell has a prototypical WR frame, great speed, and strong confident hands. For a bigger receiver, he is also elusive and slippery in the open field.

Rutgers is a leader for West Catholic Prep (Philadelphia) DL Tymir Oliver, who will be on campus with his mother today.
Rutgers Monday

Standing 6'4" 265 lb, Oliver is a three-star prospect, and has offers from Virginia, Pitt, Temple, Boston College and UConn among others. He shows good speed in pursuit, and is a nasty run defender, whether lined up at end or inside at tackle. He also has a knack for stripping the ball as he brings down his prey, causing several turnovers in the highlights below.
***UPDATE --
Per Todderick Hunt, Oliver did not make it to campus today, and has rescheduled his visit for tomorrow.
Tymir Oliver couldn't make it to #Rutgers Monday, but will visit Tuesday. Mitchell, however, did make it to campus. http://t.co/PpQDgkXm5m
