Welcome to episode no. 101 of the On The Banks podcast. With the fall season set to begin in just a matter of weeks, Rutgers men’s soccer head coach Jim McElderry returns to the show.

Entering his third season on the banks, McElderry has a solid core returning and has bolstered his roster with several key transfers among ten newcomers overall. After matching the program’s high mark with four Big Ten victories last season (Spring 2021), the Scarlet Knights will look to take another step forward on the pitch this fall.

On this episode, we discussed the progress made so far, the makeup of the current roster, the benefits and challenges of a shortened offseason, the non-conference schedule, the goal and expectation of making the NCAA Tournament this season and much more.
