How To Watch Rutgers Football at Big Ten Media Day

On Friday in Indianapolis, Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano will step to the podium at Big Ten Media Day at 11 a.m. ET. He is the first of seven coaches to address the media after another seven did so on Thursday. The press conference for Schiano will air live on BTN.

In addition, Schiano will be interviewed by the BTN crew on set at airing live at 3:45 p.m. ET. Representing the team along with their coach is quarterback Noah Vedral, wide receiver Bo Melton and linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi. The three players will be interviewed by the BTN crew on set airing live at 4:15 p.m. ET.

Earlier this week, Rutgers was picked to finish in sixth place in the Big Ten East in the preseason media poll conducted by Cleveland.com. It marked the first time since joining the league that the Scarlet Knights were not picked to finish last in its own division.

Fatukasi has had a big week as he was named to the Bednarik Award watch list which is given annually to the top defensive player in college football. He was also voted fifth for Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year by the media, receiving three first place votes.

On Thursday, Melton was named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list for the nation’s top receiver at any position.

Rutgers begins training camp the first week of August and officially opens the season on Thursday, September 2nd at 6:30 p.m. ET at SHI Stadium against Temple.
