Brown, a 6-3, 170-pound receiver, is ranked as the 36th overall player in Florida and the 44th wide receiver in the Class of 2022, according to 247 Sports composite rankings. The Martin County High School product has been in contact with the Scarlet Knights since he was offered on July 16.
Brown chose Rutgers over the likes of Florida State, Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech, among others. Tiquan Underwood was his primary recruiter and Fran Brown was his secondary recruiter.
Brown is the second highest ranked recruit in the 2022 class for Rutgers as of now and will be attempting to enroll early next January. He will join JoJo Bermudez and Rashad Rochelle as receiver commits in the class.
The Scarlet Knights continue to build the offensive side of the ball. This class so far includes offensive linemen like Nelson Monegro, Joe De Croce, Kwabena Asamoah, and Taj White. The defense side of the ball is also off to a strong start with Anthony Johnson and Kenny Fletcher.
According to 247Sports, Rutgers currently has the third ranked 2022 recruiting class in the Big Ten and ninth nationally.
