Welcome to episode No. 113 of the On The Banks podcast. This week we will preview Saturday’s game between Wisconsin (5-3; 3-2) and Rutgers (4-4; 1-4). Coming off of a 20-14 victory at Illinois last weekend, the Scarlet Knights return home with at least a .500 record this late in the season for the first time since 2014. The Badgers come to Piscataway with a four game winning streak and clear path to a Big Ten West division title. Can RU play the role of spoiler and earn the program’s best win since joining the Big Ten?

To find out more about this matchup, we spoke with Matt Belz from SB Nation’s Wisconsin site, Bucky’s 5th Quarter, and James Kratch of NJ Advance Media returns as well.

Topics discussed for Wisconsin include the difference between their start to the season and how they’ve turned things around, their strong run game, their stout defense, Jalen Berger’s departure, Aron Cruickshank, Paul Chryst’s tenure, keys to Saturday’s game for the Badgers and more.

Topics discussed for Rutgers include standout performances against Illinois, the quarterback situation, the run defense, player development, the November stretch run, a big fall weekend ahead for multiple sports and more.

A full rundown of the fall Olympic sports is at the top of the show as well.

Thanks to Matt for his great insight on Wisconsin and to James for always sharing his perspective on the current state of Rutgers. And thank you for listening!
