It’s Homecoming weekend and the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame 2020 class will be inducted a year later than expected on Friday night. The class is headlined by Eric LeGrand (football) and includes Essence Carson (women’s basketball), Jonelle Filigno-Hopkins (women’s soccer), Alexis Gunzelman (women’s gymnastics) and James Ford (men’s lacrosse).

LeGrand is the only Rutgers football player to have his number retired and his tremendous life and impact on so many others over the years is well documented. He is a living Rutgers legend and a true hero for many people.

That’s why it makes perfect sense that Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway made LeGrand his first guest in a new video series released this week called “Faces & Voices of Rutgers”. Here is a sneak peak of the interview in which Holloway tells a funny story about LeGrand’s No. 52 being retired.

You can find out more about Faces and Voices here and you can view the full debut episode with LeGrand here.

Congratulations to all of the inductees entering the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday. Here are profiles on each of them written by their respective programs.
