Rutgers senior Ron Harper Jr. was named to the 2021-2022 Preseason All-Big Ten Team on Wednesday. The honor comes one week after being named to the Watch List for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award.

Harper Jr. is one of eleven players selected by the media. He averaged 14.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season. He shot 44.1% from the floor, 31.0% from three-point range and 73.6% from the free throw line. In games in which he grabbed at least seven rebounds, Rutgers went 9-1.

For his performance last season, Harper Jr. was named Third Team All-Big Ten, as well as First Team All-Met and to the Academic All-Big Ten Team.
