Adam Korsak has solidified himself as one of the best punters in the nation.

Following a Week 6 matchup against Michigan State, Korsak has been named the Ray Guy Punter of the week. This is the third time that Korsak has earned this award in 2021 and the sixth time in his career.

Against the Spartans, Korsak punted seven times with six of his attempts landing inside the 20-yard line. Korsak also landed three kicks inside the 10-yard line. He finished with an average of 46.1 yards and a long of 57 yards. On seven punts, the Spartans were held to just one return yard.

Korsak is well on his way of setting a new single-season school record as he is averaging 48.5 yards per kick.

Rutgers also leads the nation with a net punt of 47.2 yards.

Korsak has been named to the Ray Guy Award watch list four times. In 2021, he earned the punter of the week away during the first two weeks of the season against Temple and Syracuse. This has been a record-setting season for Korsak and that could continue next week.

The Australian punter is just 67 yards away from breaking the school record in punt yards currently held by Mike Barr at 10,096. Korsak went over the 10,000-yard mark last week and currently sits at 10,030. In another amazing statistic, Korsak has punted 229 times in his career and just five have gone into the end zone for a touchback.

Rutgers will hit the road this weekend to take on a struggling Northwestern team on Saturday at Noon ET. The game will be shown on Big Ten Network.
