On Monday, Rutgers wrestling received a verbal commitment from Brandon Chletsos, who is ranked 8th nationally at 126 pounds in the 2022 recruiting class per flowrestling.org. He is a two-time Pennsylvania Class AA state medal winner out of Notre Dame-Green Pond high school.

Chletsos went 52-5 last season, finishing third in Pennsylvania at 120 pounds. He also won the Escape The Rock Tournament in January as the 2 seed at Council Rock South high school. Here is video of his championship bout.

As a freshman, Chletsos finished sixth in the state of Pennsylvania at 126 pounds.

Chletsos joins Brian Soldano in Rutgers’ 2022 recruiting class. Soldano verbally committed in July and is ranked 7th nationally at 170 pounds per flowrestling.org. The reigning state champion at 160 pounds from High Point is the top prospect in New Jersey in the class of 2022. Scott Goodale and is staff continue to elevate the talent on the roster and are building a deep roster for the future.
