On Monday night, BTN will be airing several classic Rutgers football victories, as well as the premiere of the second part of a documentary series that covers the rise of the program and return to it by Greg Schiano.

During Rutgers Day in July, BTN debuted Rutgers Rise, which profiled Schiano’s first tenure and dramatic turnaround of one of the worst college football teams at the time, if not the worst in the country. On Monday, it will air again at 8:00 p.m. before the broadcast debut of Rutgers Return, which highlights Schiano’s hiring this past December as he attempts to rebuild the program once again. It airs at 8:30 p.m. ET.

To start off the coverage of Rutgers football, BTN will air the 2006 win over no. 3 Louisville at 5 p.m. It’s followed by the program’s first bowl victory later that season at 6 p.m. against Kansas State. Then it’s the highest ranked win in school history over no. 2 South Florida in 2007 at 7 p.m.

After the two part documentary series, three more classic victories will be shown, starting with Schiano’s last win at Rutgers in the 2011 Pinstripe Bowl over Iowa State at 9 p.m.

Making it’s BTN debut at 10 p.m. is the 1992 Homecoming win on Halloween over Virginia Tech. It was a thrilling come from behind 50-49 victory that ended with QB Bryan Fortay throwing a 15-yard pass to Chris Brantley on the last play of the game. Fans stormed the field at old Rutgers Stadium, myself included.

The last game is at 11 a.m. featuring Rutgers’ last bowl victory in 2014 to complete an 8-5 campaign that first season in the Big Ten.

Clear your Monday night or set your DVR to enjoy the only Rutgers football we’ll see for at least a few months. Here is a clip of Rutgers Return:
