Welcome to episode no. 70 of the On The Banks Podcast, as host Lance Glinn is joined by Rutgers men’s golf coach Rob Shutte.
In his ninth season at the helm, Shutte was recently named Golfweek’s Northeast DI coach of the year after leading the Scarlet Knights to its lowest scoring average in 27 years this past spring. RU ranked 79th out of 294 DI teams per Golfweek this past season and finished in the top half of the Big Ten ranking for the first time ever.
In this episode, the two discuss Chris Gotterup’s rise to Big Ten Player of the Year, Shutte’s family connections to Rutgers prior to becoming head coach, how the program is maintaining player development through technology, his recent coaching award and much more.
Thanks to coach Shutte for joining our podcast and enjoy the episode.
