While we are going to look to be more upbeat on this site soon, we couldn’t let an opportunity go by for Rutgers Nation to help one of our own.
Kareem Wright, the former forward who played under Kevin Bannon and Gary Waters recently collapsed after becoming ill. He is currently on Life Support in a Penn Hospital. Wright has a wife and three children. While they wait for Wright to recover, they are asking for help via a Go Fund Me. You can click here to read the entire post and donate.
Wright played from 1999-2003, developing into a solid starter in his senior year. That year, he averaged 5.5 points, shooting 47% from the field. He saved his best performance for the last game of his career, scoring 20 points in the last game of the season in a loss to Syracuse.
Get well soon, Kareem!
