On Saturday, August 10th, Rutgers football hosts it’s annual Fan Appreciation Day. The festivities begin at 10 am at SHI Stadium.

It is free for fans to attend and free to park at the stadium on Saturday. The day includes an open practice for fans to watch, followed by a poster giveaway and autograph session with all of the players and head coach Chris Ash.

Earlier in the week, Ash was non-committal on whether the practice would involve a scrimmage, although it sounds like it will be taking place. Regardless, attending the open practice is a great chance to see this year’s team in action three weeks before the season opener against UMASS.

Training camp is just now into the second week of practice and BTN is visiting the program on Friday. We’ll have a recap of BTN’s coverage later Friday and for all of our preseason coverage of Rutgers Football, click here.

Here is a video from earlier in the week of Ash discussing the team through the first week of camp and talking about fan appreciation day.
