Friday saw Rutgers Head Coach Chris Ash and players Zach Venesky, Tyshon Fogg and Tyreek Maddox-Williams under the spotlight at Big Ten Media day. We previously broke down Ash’s press conference with the media here, as well as Rutgers news that broke on Thursday.
Later in the day on Friday, Ash appeared on BTN to speak with Dave Revsine, Howard Griffith and Gerry DiNardo. Here is the eight minute segment, which includes Ash mentioning that throwback uniforms will be worn for a yet to be determined game this fall.
So @CoachChrisAsh has cool @RFootball uniform news. He discusses that at the end of his chat with our @HowardGriffith @GerryDiNardo & @BTNDaveRevsine at #B1GMediaDay. pic.twitter.com/5OChtoN2am

The Rutgers players, all captains and just one senior (Venesky), later appeared on set with Revsine to discuss the season ahead.
Aside from Rutgers specific activities going on, there was an autograph session for fans held with all the coaches and players in attendance.

A major highlight of Big Ten Media Days is always the coaches picture and this year it didn’t disappoint. Never leave a coffee cup in the shot.

The Keynote speaker for the annual luncheon this year was Minnesota’s Casey O’Brien, who is a four time cancer survivor. The speech is certainly worth watching and important in helping all of us to remember to appreciate everyday.
That’s a wrap on Big Ten Media Days. Players report to the Hale Center on July 31st with the first practice of training camp taking place on August 1st. We will begin our annual position previews next week.
