Today we are announcing another way to be engaged and voice your opinion within our site, On The Banks. We are always looking for ways to improve our coverage of Rutgers athletics, as well as engage our readers in new ways on topics within college sports in general. Those of you who spend time on other SB Nation sites, baseball or otherwise, may have seen calls to join FanPulse, SB Nation’s newest way to measure how fans feel about their favorite team. Some of you may have even participated in this venture on other sites.
Today, we get our chance. Click here if you’re ready to jump right in.
We are a voice of the Rutgers athletics community here at On The Banks and this is another way to interact with one another. I think it will be a fun and interesting avenue to have discussions, specifically about college football and also with Rutgers, who are entering a very critical season for the program.
Now, we are starting a new polling project — including a brand new SB Nation NCAA Football Top 25 — that will pull together the insights of the most plugged-in Rutgers fans. If that describes you, then SIGN UP HERE to join us on SB Nation FanPulse. Which, if we are being honest, anyone who reads On The Banks falls into that category in my humble opinion.
If you sign up, you will be among a vetted group from On The Banks who answers weekly survey of Rutgers fans developed by SB Nation. The survey will start going out regularly once the season begins, and will be highlighted by a weekly Top 25 ranking by Rutgers fans. This is something that should take at most a few minutes a week to participate in. There will also be poll questions on topics directly related to Rutgers.
We want to build the definitive Top 25 of informed college football fans, and that includes you. Your votes will be anonymous — though if you join, you are welcome (and encouraged!) to tell anyone you like. You’ll get to have your voice heard about whether Michigan or Penn State is overrated or dare I say, they’re not giving Rutgers enough credit for major improvement this season.
The results of each poll will be published by On The Banks and may end up on SBNation.com also, along with the results from other team sites.
This project was started on SB Nation’s NFL sites last season. Here’s an example of some of the results based on the confidence questions (which you’ll also get to answer!):

Sound like fun? The more of us who interact, the more we’ll have to debate this coming football season in this new way.
