Rutgers football fans will take any bit of good news they can find and one was received on Thursday, as four kickoff times were announced for the 2019 season. For the first time in a long time, the Scarlet Knights will play its homecoming game later than noon. They’ll host Minnesota at Highpoint.com Stadium at either 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th.

Another highlights is the season opener is in prime time on the Friday night before Labor Day, as Rutgers hosts UMass. The game will air live on BTN.
The rest of the kickoff times and television assignments for the 2019 season have yet to be announced. Rutgers has also not announced any formal celebratory plan as of yet to commemorate the 150th anniversary of college football this season, which obviously began on the banks.
Head coach Chris Ash enters a critical fourth season at the helm and is hoping the many offseason changes the past few months will lead to a much improved product on the field this fall.
