Back in November, Peter Lipari entered the transfer portal after a battle for the 141 pound starting spot with true freshman JoJo Aragona.
Now, he has found a new home with the Rider University Broncs according to a report from James Kratch of NJ Advance Media. He will be eligible to compete this season.

When Lipari entered his final year of eligibility with Rutgers, he was expected to be the starter at 141 pounds for one last run at the podium. Aragona ended up defeating him in a close wrestle off and the coaching staff ultimately went with the young gun in the season opening quad, where he went 3-0 to start the season.
Aragona was ranked briefly at No. 24 at 141 according to Flo Wrestling, but has since dropped from the rankings. He has battled a hamstring issue, but bounced back with a tight win vs. Maryland. He currently sits at 6-2 on the season.
For Lipari, he finished 13-14 in 2018-19 last season with a 9th place finish at the Big Ten Tournament. He then went 1-2 at the 2019 NCAA Championships.
As far as the current Scarlet Knights, Rutgers features the same six wrestlers ranked this week according to Flo Wrestling. The biggest news coming from the latest set is redshirt freshman Nico Aguilar moving up to No. 9 at 125. He is the first Scarlet Knight to be ranked Top 10 for the 2019-20 season.
