Kyle Monangai was a little bit late to the party, committing Tuesday night, just hours before the early signing period began. Kyle quickly made the turnaround and put pen to paper (or fax) on Wednesday.

Rutgers needs anyone who can bring speed and playmaking to the table. Monangai is not tall, but he does have the body mass to take some hits even at the Big Ten level. Kyle can blast through the line if the defense is spread out, but he is more effective running off tackle. He is also a very effective receiver out of the backfield or slot and should be used a lot like Raheem Blackshear and Aaron Young were as true freshman.
High School Position: RB (5’9”, 203 lbs.)
Projected college position: Running Back
High School: Don Bosco Prep
Hometown: Garfield, NJ
Most notable other offers: California, Air Force
The Rutgers Running back group is the second best unit on the team. That being said, starter Raheem Blackshear’s status is uncertain and could open up playing time even with the three other returning backs, Isaih Pacheco, Aaron Young, and Kay’Ron Adams. These players were all good last year, but none was a superstar. As a result, packages for specific personnel could be important to get as much out of a number of players since there is no bell cow.
Floor: Desmon Peoples
Most likely: Markis Facyson
Potential: Raheem Blackshear
