Greg Schiano got a formal welcome back to the banks during halftime of the Rutgers-Seton Hall game on Saturday. The crowd was already electric after a dominant first half of play by the Scarlet Knights, who jumped out to a 14-0 lead and led 36-23 at the half. Rutgers ultimately won the game over the no. 22 Pirates running away, 68-48, in front of the largest RAC crowd since 2002.
Schiano’s address was inspiring and focused on his continued message of needing every bit of support possible to help lift the program to a much better place. He hasn’t backed down from the goal being to win a national championship, either. While he has already proven to be providing an immediate impact with recruiting this past week, as well as build a quality staff, Schiano’s ability to market the program and unify a fan base is just as big a benefit.
