Welcome to episode no. 51 of the On The Banks Podcast. Host Lance Glinn is joined by Rutgers women’s soccer head coach Mike O’Neill.

The Scarlet Knights finished the regular season with a 14-2-2 record and are currently ranked 16th in the country in this week’s United Coaches Poll. In addition, Rutgers finished in second place in Big Ten play with a 8-2-1 record. They host no. 7 seed Indiana this Sunday, November 3rd at noon at Yurcak Field in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. Rutgers is the official host this season, so the semifinal round and championship game will take place at Yurcak Field on November 8th and 10th. Hopefully, the Scarlet Knights will play for the university’s first ever Big Ten title at home on the 10th.

Lance and Coach O’Neill spoke about the journey through the regular season, the current state of the team and the road ahead this postseason.

Thanks to Coach O’Neill for taking time to speak with us during such a busy time for him and thanks for listening.
