Rutgers senior forward Brittany LaPlant was named the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. She produced five points total in two games, leading the Scarlet Knights to conference victories over Penn State and Northwestern.
Last Thursday, LaPlant scored and registered an assist in a 3-2 double overtime win in Happy Valley. Here is her first goal that tied the game at 1 midway through the first half.

On Sunday, LaPlant scored again in the 2-0 triumph over the Wildcats. Here is her goal to put the game away.

The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree earned her second Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award of her career and first for Rutgers since Amirah Ali last season.
LaPlant is third on the team in goals (3) and total points (10), while she is second in assists (4). For her career, LaPlant has 12 goals and 28 points total.
Rutgers (9-2-1; 3-2-0) is now ranked no. 21 in the United Coaches Poll this week and no. 19 by Top Drawer Soccer. They’ll head on the road to play at Iowa (12-2; 4-2) and at Nebraska (3-8-2; 2-4-0) this coming weekend.
