AJ Ferrari, the No. 1 pound-for-pound recruit in the class of 2020 has committed to Oklahoma State Univeristy, he announced on his Instagram Page.
He narrowed his list to a top five that included official visits to Rutgers, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State and Oklahoma State.
Had a fantastic final official visit this past weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma. OSU has a lot of history when it comes to Cowboy Wrestling.— AJ Ferrari (@mrfasttwitch) October 2, 2019
So should AJ Ferrari take advantage of these opportunities and be a Cowboy? #cowboys#okstate#orangepower pic.twitter.com/8kJ5F2EaJX
The Rutgers 2020 recruiting class already features some hammers. Connor O’Neill of DePaul Catholic, John Poznanski of Colonia High School, Kyle Epperly of Jackson Memorial, and Ohio natives Dylan Shawver and Bryce Hepner.
As we wait for the 2020 recruiting class to arrive, the 2019 class for the Scarlet Knights began their preseason training and some could be competing for varsity spots as true freshmen. The class was ranked No. 4 in the country according to Flo Wrestling. Don’t forget, that list was created before Rutgers landed Sammy Alvarez after he initially committed to NC State in the 2019 class.
