Game 15 recap & four thoughts

Game Preview

Welcome to the biggest game of the season so far. If Rutgers can regroup and beat Northwestern, they’ll move to 2-5 in the Big Ten and in sole possession of 11th place. That might not sound like much or even a bit sad, but for a team that is 9-63 all-time in Big Ten regular season games and 6-30 in Pikiell’s first two years here, it would be progress by definition. A victory would also put them a game ahead of Northwestern and Illinois, as well as two games ahead of Penn State. For a program that has only ever finished in last place in the Big Ten standings, a win tonight would be step in the right direction to avoid doing so this season.
