Indiana at Rutgers
Opening point spread (according to Vegas Insider): Indiana -14
Gut reaction:
I figured this would open between -14 and -16. I am officially declaring myself in “fade Rutgers and print money” mode until further notice. This is a Rutgers team that just looks physically and emotionally beaten. They just suffered a humiliating blow out loss at home to a MAC team and I can’t see anything else changing from yesterday to next Saturday with this coaching staff at the helm. Last season, Rutgers went to Indiana in dire need of a win in order to possibly make a bowl game, it was Chris Ash’s big opportunity to prove that he belonged. Rutgers instead barely showed up and lost by a score of 41-0 in Bloomington. I honestly don’t see it going much differently this year against the 3-1 Hoosiers.
If I Were a Betting Man:
Just like last week, I am all over the visiting team here. Load up on Indiana -14 as soon as possible because this will undoubtedly rise as the week goes on. Rutgers is by far the worst Power 5 team in the country right now and Indiana should win this by more than two touchdowns fairly easily.
