Rutgers football secured its fifth commit of the 2019 class (2nd quarterback), as Southwestern quarterback Cole Snyder has pledged to the Scarlet Knights per his twitter feed:

Though Rutgers Football official twitter feed has not reported the news yet, several other sources including nj.com, RutgersSportsTalk, and 247sports have.
Snyder’s arm was on display at Rutgers East Coast Elite Camp this past weekend. From his highlight reel, he likes to get the ball out quickly in either three or five step drops. It’s encouraging that he completes most of his passes on intermediate routes in rhythm but also recognized blitzes and scrambled if his hot read wasn’t immediately open. There’s enough deep balls to provide confidence that DBs can’t cheat up too much to jump routes. Cole is not that tall (more of a Baker Mayfield build), but does not rely on scrambling to get receivers open.
As Ash continues to rebuild the roster, adding as many quarterbacks as possible has been a top priority. Though many FBS programs often target only one quarterback per class, Rutgers was so thin at the position in 2016 that Ash’s staffs have dedicated themselves to adding multiple quarterbacks per class to raise the talent level in the position group. The 2018 class included Jalen Chatman and Artur Sitkowski who may even be the opening day starter. Zamar Wise has also verbally committed to the 2019 class.
According to 247 Sports, Snyder has drawn interest from Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Delaware. He is not yet rated by 247 sports. Rutgers now has their fifth verbal commit of 2019 which 247 Sports ranks today as 54th nationally. Here are a highlight from a game against Allegany-Limestone last season:

Welcome to the banks, Cole!
A member of our OTB family Brian Fonseca tweeted a link to the first interview with Cole after his announcement.
Our very own @BobbyDeren was first to speak to Rutgers latest commit QB @csnyder_15. Here’s his breakdown of his decision: https://t.co/izKaZD0oJw via @RUscarletnation.
