On Thursday afternoon, Rutgers announced five kickoff times and three television assignments for the upcoming 2018 football season. The Scarlet Knights will open its third campaign with head coach Chris Ash at the helm on Saturday, September 1st at noon against Texas State. The game will air live on BTN, as will the following week’s conference opener at Ohio State. The road contest against the Buckeyes is the only game of the five with official start times that will not kickoff at noon. Rutgers-Ohio State will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Another game of note is the first ever Big Ten meeting with Northwestern on October 20th, as this contest has been designated on Homecoming weekend at Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are 3-0 all-time against the Wildcats, but this will the first meeting since joining the Big Ten in 2014. The complete 2018 schedule is listed below, with seven kickoff times and nine television assignments still to come.
Other games set to kickoff at noon include road contests at Kansas on September 15th and Maryland on October 13th.
