Earlier, we did a state of the Rutgers baseball team post heading into Big Ten play. After this past weekend’s series win over LaSalle, Rutgers ballclub has now passed the halfway point of the regular season schedule with a record of 17 wins and 11 losses. A year ago, the team won 19 games all season.
To qualify for the Big Ten conference tournament, the team will need to finish in the Top 8 of the conference. Currently, they sit in 4th place at 4-2 with 18 conference games left to play after taking a series with Penn State and another from Michigan State.
Check out the video below for my current thoughts on the season thus far and the keys to the second half. The video went a little longer than expected, but there’s a lot to talk about with 28 games played already!
