Nick Gravina gets at large bid to NCAA Wrestling Championships

Nick Gravina was awarded an at large bid to the NCAA Championships in Cleveland beginning on March 16. The 184 pounder was eliminated from competition after Saturday’s second session at the Big Ten tournament. But with the opportunity to qualify with an ast large bid, the Big Ten wrestled several bouts that were non-scoring in terms of team score, including both Gravina and 141 pounder Mike Van Brill.

Gravina won two bouts Sunday morning, including a pin to cap off the wrestling. With his bid, Rutgers sends six wrestlers to the NCAA tournament,
