Fresh off Sunday’s thrilling 14-10 victory over then #12th ranked Syracuse, the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team improved 7 spots in this week’s Inside Lacrosse media poll, which were released on Monday.

Rutgers is now 3-1 on the season against ranked opponents. The Scarlet Knights lost to #13 Army (5-2), but own victories over #12 Lehigh (6-2), who they defeated last week on the road 8-7, as well as #14 Robert Morris (5-2), who Rutgers beat in the season opener 11-7, and #15 Syracuse (3-3).
In the Big Ten, Maryland (6-1) is ranked #2 in this week’s poll, while Johns Hopkins is #9. Rutgers is the only other conference team in the latest Inside Lacrosse rankings, although Ohio State (5-3), Michigan (5-2), and Penn State (5-3) are all receiving votes. The Big Ten is loaded with talented teams once again this season.

Rutgers (6-2) is back in action this coming Saturday night at High Point Solutions Stadium against Delaware (3-4) at 7 p.m. Big Ten play opens for Rutgers on April 1st at home against #9 Johns Hopkins (5-2). The game will be shown live on BTN.
