The bracketologists have been talking for weeks about teams “on the bubble”, those squads that are good but we aren’t quite sure if they have what it takes to be an NCAA team.
And now the NCAA has officially told us which teams are the true “bubble” teams. And Rutgers is one of them.

Along with fellow Big Ten members Minnesota and Purdue, the Knights (20-12) are one of eight teams that could fill the last four of the 64-team field. Rutgers split the regular season games with Purdue and topped the Boilers in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. RU won its one game with Minnesota in OT at the RAC.
If you go strictly on RPI, the Knights are in. And if these are the last four in, there is a clear break in RPI between the better four and lesser four RPIs.

Note: Oklahoma's record is incorrect in the table; it should be 16-14.
Rutgers did not have a strong end of the season, and that might play against them. But it all gets decided/announced tonight.
The women’s selection show is live on ESPN Monday night at 7 pm ET.
