With the Olympics in the spotlight the past two weeks, the sport of curling has received more attention than normal. In fact, the United States just won it’s first Gold Medal ever in a stunning upset of the world’s top team, Sweden, on Saturday in South Korea.
So what does this have to do with Rutgers football? Glad you asked. The Player’s Tribune produced a feature with members of the Scarlet Knights offensive line and took them curling. The group ended up taking on the Plainfield curling club in an exhibition. Overall, it was a fun idea and it was good to see the players embrace the experience. Here is the video and don’t worry, there is no fear that any of them give up football for curling.
We went curling with the @RFootball offensive line.
