If you like ugly basketball between two terrible offenses that also play good defense, well do I have good news for you! Rutgers and Northwestern do battle tonight at the RAC to tip-off the penultimate week of the regular season. To give this contest its proper due, the BTN overlords have slotted this game for the 9 p.m. ET time slot. Let’s hope the late night tip gives Rutgers a little extra edge in this matchup. The Scarlet Knights are riding a seven game losing streak, but welcomed back their two toughest players over the weekend in captain Mike Williams and forward Eugene Omoruyi. Both had some rust and hopefully they will be ready to make a bigger impact on this game. Northwestern has seen their NCAA dreams fade away after a disappointing season, but they will surely be a tough out with a strong senior core and solid starting five. The key is wearing them down on the boards and on the break to expose their lack of depth.
