Rutgers to Host USA Wrestling Final X Series

The RAC will bring in the Top Wrestlers in the United States next Summer

Some big news in the arena business: Rutgers University will play host for USA Wrestling next Summer as the RAC will be one of the Final X Series hosts on June 8, 2019, according to a release from Flo Wrestling.

This is some pretty big news as the other event will be hosted one week later in Lincoln, Nebraska. New Jersey wrestling fans will be able to get a close look at some of the best wrestlers in the world right in Piscataway.

The Final X Series is designed to determine the competitors for the 2019 US World Team and it will do so in all three Olympic disciplines (Freestyle, Greco-Roman, and Women’s Freestyle).

The RAC has become one of the premier wrestling venues in the sport. RU finished within the Top 5 in home attendance for the third consecutive season in 2017-18, as it averaged 5,070 fans for its six home duals at the arena.

Rutgers will also host the Big Ten Tournament at the RAC in 2020 for the first time since joining the conference. They also hosted the EIWA Tournament in 2013.
