Stringer has accomplished so much over her career, including being the first college coach ever to take three different schools to the Final Four (Cheyney State, Iowa, Rutgers), has had 35 seasons with 20 wins of more, one shy of record holder and fellow legend Pat Summit, and enters Tuesday’s game with a career record of 999-402 in her 48th season. She is the fifth winningest Division I coach, men’s or womens, that is still active and sixth all-time in career wins in NCAA women’s basketball history. She is in her 24th season on the banks and has a record at Rutgers of 479-267.
Good luck to coach Stringer tonight and we will have plenty of coverage from what should be a historic night in Piscataway.
Tomorrow.
