UPDATED: Two more wins and Rutgers Women move into AP Top 25

UPDATE

Two Big Ten wins equals some more recognition.

Following home wins against Illinois (76-37) and Penn State (70-65), the Rutgers women (16-2) moved into the top 25 of the AP Poll. They move to No. 19 in the USA Today/WBCA poll as noted above; the poll cane out Tuesday, Jan. 9.

Other Big Ten teams in the AP poll include Ohio State holding at No. 10, Maryland at 11 (up two spots), and Iowa, remaining at 18 but tied with Arizona State which jumped from No. 25.

During the two game streak to open 2018, the Knights have been sparked by Gia Greene. Greene had 18 points against Illinois and 16 versus PSU.

The Knights are undefeated at home this season and the win over Penn State gave the Knights an 11-game winning streak and put Vivian Stringer at win No. 993.

The Knights next play on Wednesday at Purdue with a 7:00 pm tip. The game will be on BTN Plus and can be heard on WRSU 88.7
