Rutgers has a major opportunity in the friendly confines of the RAC tonight against a better than expected Nebraska team. Both teams thrive on the defensive end, so it should be a tough, low scoring battle. The lower scoring a game, the better the chances for Rutgers to win. The Scarlet Knights are 6-0 when holding opponents under 59 points and Nebraska is 2-6 when they score less than 70 points. Containing Huskers star James Parker Jr. will go a long way into determining how effective Nebraska is on the offensive end.
For Rutgers to gain more respect and move up the Big Ten standings, they need to protect their home court. They are 2-2 in league play at the RAC so far this season, so it would be a huge win tonight if they can pull it out.
