Scott plays for Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, New York and is the 13th ranked recruit in the Empire state. The 6’0” back ran for 1418 yards last season as a junior, averaging 10.5 yards per carry and 141.8 yards per game. He ran for an eye popping 21 touchdowns.
According to 247 Sports, Scott held offers from Minnesota, Syracuse, Pitt, Boston College, and UConn, among others.
3-star Stevie Scott is a big-time addition to #Rutgers' back-field. Has Big Ten build/ability. Story in a few.

The 2018 class for Rutgers now includes 14 commitments from recruits that hold 3-star ratings. Scott is the fifth commit from New York, all of whom are ranked in the top 15 for their class in the state rankings, per 247 Sports. They include receiver/linebacker Zihir Lacewell (4th), athlete Amad Anderson (5th), wide receiver Paul Woods (12th), Scott (13th), and athlete Kessawn Abraham (14th). In terms of the current national recruiting rankings, Rutgers is 10th in the Big Ten and 50th in the country. At the moment, there appear to only be a handful of remaining scholarships available for the 2018 class.
With the upcoming graduations of running backs Robert Martin, Josh Hicks and Gus Edwards, Rutgers has now added their second rusher in the 2018 class. Scott joins Isaih Pacheco, who committed back in June.
Welcome to the banks, Stevie Scott!
