The 6'5" 270-pound offensive tackle from Conway, South Carolina has the length and strength to be a very productive tackle at the Big Ten level. On film he projects as a right tackle, but has the ability to play left tackle due to his speed and athleticism. He also has the ability to play on the defensive line as he registered 11 solo tacks, six assists, and two fumble recoveries last season.
According to 247 Sports, O'Neal held 28 offers including conference mates Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Purdue, and Penn State, to name a few.
The 2018 class for Rutgers now includes 16 commitments from recruits that hold 3-star ratings. O'Neal is the third offensive tackle of the class joining Matt Rosso and Reginald Sutton. In terms of the current national recruiting rankings, Rutgers is 11th in the Big Ten and 51st in the country.
Welcome to the banks, Raiqwon O'Neal!
