Butler native and former Scarlet Knights wide receiver Andrew Turzilli has been added to the local New York Giants preseason roster.

Turzilli only spent one season on the banks as a transfer who graduated from Kansas in 2014 with a degree in labor studies. Having never been to a bowl game, the 2014 team took on a rallying cry of “Do it for Drew”. At Rutgers he only hauled in 10 passes, but they went for 347 yards! That is not a misprint as four of the ten went for scores including one for 80 yards to turn the tide against Michigan in what became Rutgers first Big Ten victory. Another TD iced the Quick Lane Bowl win against North Carolina.

Measuring at 6’4 12” with 4.52 speed in the 40 yard dash, Turzilli quickly caught the attention of scouts looking for a deep threat. He has been a member of the Titans (twice), 49ers, and Lions organizations at various points in his career. Andrew has played in 3 NFL games for Tennessee, recording two catches for 25 yards.

Good luck with the Giants, hopefully Turzilli can show enough the remainder of the preseason to remain with the local team!
