Spanning the College World: B1G Media Day edition

We wanted to know how Rutgers was doing, but there were a few other people in Chicago, too

NCAA Football: Big Ten Media Days Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY Sports

Big Ten Media Days are done and OTB was on the case, bringing you updates on the goings on, especially as it pertained to Rutgers and its fourth go round at the conference spectacular.

We previewed the Chicago event, looked at Jim Delany’s comments about the new TV deal (Hulu? Really?), and jumped in on Chris Ash’s comments as well as taking a look at the video from the event.

But what about the other 13 teams that made an appearance? What went on with them? Glad you asked.

Right up there with kitten videos

You’ve probably seen it. But just because it’s so darn nice.....

The B1G has the best mascots

Pizza: Chicago or New Jersey?

Pat Fitzgerald is a Northwestern guy, raised in Chicago. What does he know about pizza?

Coach, we had the ultimate conversation about pizza right here. We can correct your mis-spent youth next time you’re east.

One for the road

Rutgers heads to Lincoln on Sept. 23 to open its Big Ten schedule. Mike Riley, who some people feel is on the hot seat with the Huskers, still feels confident. And for those traveling west to follow the Knights, Riley talks about game day at the “Cathedral of Football”.

Just in case you weren’t sure....

Very reminiscent of another coach who, early in his career, asked, “"Why don't you think we can win a national championship?"

Rowing the boat in Minneapolis

There were those - including me - who thought former Rutgers assistant P.J. Fleck would have worked as HC in Piscataway. But the human dynamo went from Western Michigan to Minnesota....with all his energy in tact. Along with his slogan.

We had to have this guy, right?

I am still blocked on Twitter by this guy....and proud of it! He, however, is proud to be a part of the cult in Centre County, PA.

And for someone else to dislike/hate/despise....

Seriously, the guy comes to Media Day dressed like that?
