It may be a new week, but the Rutgers football program continues to pickup verbal commitments from the class of 2018. Tonight, Deion Jennings of Timber Creek announced his decision via twitter in the video below. (Click on the link)
Jennings held offers from many FCS schools, as well as FBS programs Rutgers, Western Michigan and Temple per 247 Sports. His brother, Adonis, a one time Rutgers commit, is at Temple now after transferring from Pitt.
The 6’1” cornerback will join fellow Timber Creek alums Myles Nash and Najee Jones at Rutgers. The South Jersey program is an important one as head coach Chris Ash rebuilds the Scarlet Knights.
Things are moving fast, but here is a summary of the recruiting rankings for the class of 2018 as of this morning. Jennings is the tenth commit of the class and third from New Jersey, joining Isaih Pacheco and Zamir Mickens. Another commit, Jarrett Paul, is from New York but will play at Paramus Catholic this fall.
Welcome to the banks, Deion!
