Former Rutgers Defensive Back Logan Ryan, who has won two Super Bowl Rings with the New England Patriots, made international news regarding his wedding last month. No, this is not going go devolve into a discussion of wedding dresses or who caught the bouquet, I promise!

Ryan, who recently signed a $30M, three year contract with the Tennessee Titans, was married last month in St. Lucia, an independent island country in the eastern Caribbean to former Rutgers softball player Ashley Bragg. Logan and Ashley have a daughter, Avery, who will turn 1 on August 21st.
Ashley is a certified dog trainer and has become involved in animal rescue since her graduation, a calling that has also involved her new husband. The Ryan’s started Ryan’s Monthly Rescue, a monthly posting on his Instagram account that highlights a dog to be rescued. While it started with a focus on pit bulls, it has expanded to involve other breeds as well.
At their wedding last month, the couple were surprised to see the large number of strays in the beautiful island on which they married, St. Lucia. In response to that, the bride and groom requested that in lieu of gifts, that donations be made to charities that assist stray dogs.

This is a charity from the heart, but Ashley and Logan’s actions have gotten international exposure. Not only have national publications like People written articles on it, it has also been in the press in the UK as well, as noted in this article for the Daily Mail, a London-based tabloid.
So, congratulations to the Ryan’s on their wedding, as well as the boost their “pet” charity has received from their generosity to their four-legged friends. It is obvious to anyone who follows Logan and Ashley on social media that they have a well-grounded outlook on life, and we here at On the Banks wish them well!
