When you put in the winning goal in overtime, people notice.
The Big Ten Conference did just that in naming Kieran Mullins as the conference’s Lacrosse Freshman of the Week.
The game winner was Mullins’ third goal of the game. The freshman from Islip, NY took a pass from Christian Mazzone and reversed himself to put in the goal in the first possession of OT.

The three goals scored gave Mullins seven hat tricks on the season. In his first season at Rutgers, Mullins scored 35 goals and had 15 assists for 51 points. He also scored a hat trick on awards: this was his third Freshman of the Week award of the season.
And here’s the way that game ended.
