Following a 8-3 over Fairfield on Saturday and a 12-5 win over Wagner on Tuesday, Rutgers has climbed to number 10 in the nation and are off to a 4-0 start.

In Saturday’s game, the Scarlet Knights were led by their defense and attackman Connor Murphy who finished with three goals on the day. Goalie Max Edelmann finished with nine saves on the day and defenseman Michael Rexrode earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the week for his efforts.

On Tuesday, the offense found its stride again as midfielder Christian Mazzone finished with three goals and attackmen Kieran Mullins and Jules Heningburg combined for two goals and seven assists. Charlie Nicklaus and Joe Francisco both had their first career goals and defenseman Chris Gorel scored as well. Edelmann made seven saves on four goals allowed and Jack Ayre saw his first action in net this year for the Scarlet Knights.

The Scarlet Knights face their toughest test in the young season on Saturday when they take on Brown, a final four team from last year.
