All State Lineman Owen Bowles of Cedar Creek High in Egg Harbor City is headed up the Garden State Parkway and may just land in the Center of the Scarlet Knight Offensive Line quicker than a drive to the Jersey Shore after Memorial Day.

Bowles has the size, speed, agility, quickness and toughness to play any position on either side of the line of scrimmage. One longtime New Jersey Scout believes he has all the qualities to be a dominant defensive lineman. Many reports have the Knight Coaching Staff recruiting him as a center. He was recruited by the service academies and the Ivy League, two tremendous indicators of leadership, character and intelligence . ... . everything you want in a center.
The physicality is there with a bench press over 300 and squatting well over 400, to go along with the intangibles evidenced by an “A” average in the classroom and 1,400 SAT, a very lethal combination to say the least. When we all look back his career four years or so from now, I believe Bowles will have been the most solid contributor from the class of 2017 and yet another mark against the national recruiting website’s star ranking system and their ability to evaluate from afar.
