The consensus 4 star and Scout.com Top 300 prospect turned down many of college football’s blue bloods to play for his State’s University. When Melton committed to the Knights early on back in April, it stamped Rutgers as a legit destination for the top ranked prospects in the region.

The speed burner from South Jersey is a legit home run hitter on the gridiron possessing legit 4.3 forty speed in football backed up by a sizzling 10.6 100 meter times in track and field. He will be a threat to take the top off a defense every time he steps on the field.

Melton is a multi-talented football player having rushed for 750 yards and 11 TD’s while lining up in the back field as a junior and throwing 2 TD passes to lead his team to victory in the Group 4 State Championship Game in 2015. His Junior season saw Bo account for over 1,700 all purpose yards and 27 TD’s and being honored as the South Jersey Player of the Year. This past season Melton was responsible for over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and 16 TD’s. A starter on the basketball team he averaged 8 points a game as a Junior.

Bo has a terrific athletic pedigree as his brother Gary Jr. just concluded his collegiate football career for Delaware State and his father Gary Sr. starred at Rutgers from 89’ - 91’.
