Pacheco committed to The Banks back on June 21st and has remained steady in his pledge to play college football in his home state.
Forced to play quarterback for his entire senior season, “Pop” was the heart and soul of the Vineland football team this season. According to stats compiled by NJ.com, Pacheco carried the ball 154 times this fall, racking up 1,414 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The 9th-ranked recruit in New Jersey and 16th-ranked running back in the country according to 247Sports, Pacheco is poised to join the Rutgers backfield next season. Entering a running back room that will be missing quite a few faces next season, the 5’11”, 190-pound athlete has the physicality and football intelligence to pick up a new playbook and contribute as a freshman.
While this commitment does not come as a surprise, this should be an exciting one for Rutgers fans. Welcome to The Banks, Isaih!
