Much is made of Rutgers needing to keep the top talent in New Jersey at home. The Scarlet Knights did that when they got Daevon Robinson’s signed National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

The state’s top athlete was committed to North Carolina State for much of his senior season, but he de-committed from the Wolfpack in late November. From there, Rutgers and Baylor were the two schools on him the hardest. He officially visited Waco, Texas, on December 8th, followed by an official visit to Piscataway the following weekend.
Two days prior to the start of the early signing period, Robinson pledged to the Scarlet Knights.

He made his commitment official when he signed Wednesday.
At 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, the Medford (N.J.) Shawnee standout projects as a tight end once he arrives on the Banks. His height and athleticism provides Rutgers with a mismatch anytime he lines up on the line of scrimmage.
Stick with On the Banks all day for more National Signing Day coverage.
