The prodigal son is officially on his way back home.

Artur Sitkowski, an Old Bridge (N.J.) native who spent his senior season at IMG Academy down in Bradenton, Florida, often talked about wanting to represent his home state at the next level. He put his money where his mouth is on Wednesday when he signed his National Letter of Intent to Rutgers, where he projects to be the cornerstone of Chris Ash’s second full recruiting class.

The four-star recruit ranks as the 19th-highest recruit ever for the Scarlet Knights, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The former Miami (Fl.) commit chose Rutgers over the Hurricanes, as well as reported offers from Florida, Michigan, Ohio State and a litany of other big-time Power Five programs.

But Sitkowski always had his eyes on the school which first offered him back in 2015. It was then that he participated at a Rutgers camp as a rising sophomore at Old Bridge.

Back in his home state with IMG teammate Jalen Jordan, Sitkowski now looks to compete for the starting job in the spring as an early enrollee.

With him, fellow commit Jalen Chatman and rising Rutgers sophomore Johnathan Lewis in the mix, the Scarlet Knights QB room is in good hands.
