Chris Ash and the coaching staff received their second commitment in the class of 2019 on Monday night, as Jaaron Hayek pledged to Rutgers.

The 6'1", 185 pound athlete from Wayne Hills, who can play multiple positions, has already shown that he is ready to be a weapon for that Scarlet Knights. Jaaron is set to join his two brothers who are freshmen this season at Rutgers, Tyler and Hunter. The youngest of the three brothers, Jaaron, was offered by Rutgers last April and was receiving interest from Penn State, Pitt, Boston College, Syracuse, and Temple, according to 247 Sports.

Jaaron has a nose for end zone, as he has produced 16 offensive touchdowns during his high school career. Hayek scored fourteen of his touchdowns by way of rushing and two receiving. This season at quarterback, Hayek has thrown for 953 yards, 9 TD's and 7 INT's. He has also rushed for 869 yards and 13 TD's, while averaging 7.9 yards per carry.

As a kick returner, he has totaled 226 yards. Hayek is a tough competitor that is versatile and whatever his team needs, he provides.

On the defensive side of the ball he has made 58 tackles in his career along with a sack. Hayek also has two interceptions and a forced fumble. This knack of knowing where to be on the field at the right time will definitely lead to playing time at Rutgers. Hayek has played cornerback, linebacker and safety during his high school career. This just speaks volumes to his athleticism. Hayek is not projected for any one position at Rutgers, but can be a contributor and an impact player for Knights in the future.

Hayek joins 3-star QB Zamir Wise in the 2019 recruiting class form Rutgers.

Here are a few highlights from his junior season at Wayne Hills.
